Listener's Section: Game Music MIDI files

Note: These files aren't so long, but reading the Index doesn't hurt.

You can find MIDI files of various Games here. I can offer you a brief description of the MIDI music file format. The files are transcriptions of the original music played with General Midi instruments. If you like the music, try the game!

To reduce bandwith and disk space, I have linked some of the archives to the Game Music Corner maintained by Ricoberto Dones. Many thanks for providing disk space. If you can offer game music by yourself, contact me. Or when you have your own FTP or WWW Game Music site I would be glad to set up a link to it. Thanks!
I removed the links to midi.net as they ask on their homepage not to do this and I respect that. You can still visit their own home page.

The index pages offer more information about the files on this page: Name of the game, the game company and who sequenced the file(s). Unfortunately there are still some gaps. If you can fill one, contact me.

Archives which have been updated during the last 7 days and new files are displayed in a bold font. So there can be something new even if you've downloaded the archive already. Check out the index for more information.

Note:
Remember that these music scores are copyrighted. The files here should be understood as a kind of advertisment for the games. That's the reason why many copyright holders accept this. What you shouldn't do is to distribute these files for profit. That would be immoral.
I've tried several times to ask for approval, but almost nobody seems to be interested. Well, then I'll keep the files online as long as nobody doesn't complain. Please contact me if you are a game company and do not want your music on this site. (Thanks to Blizzard Entertainment for already giving permission.)

Another thing:
I've been told that some of the files stored here have been copied to other sites. This may cause some confusion if it isn't mentioned who did actually sequence it. So please if you post files from here somewhere other include the original sequencer's name and e-mail address when possible. (or mention this URL, but the first method would be more appropriate.) The same thing holds when you send a file to me which you haven't sequenced yourself. Try to find out the original sequencer first.
Many thanks!

There's Ben Romer's instant midi collection. In this archive are many files collected mainly from this page but also from several other Game Music pages. Enjoy over 10MB of Game Music! Unfortunately he doesn't have enough space to put it on-line. If you want it, you'll have to e-mail him.
